In order to implement this year, Governor Jin Xiangjun on accelerating the development and utilization of geothermal resources, a series of instructions, and vigorously promote the high-quality development of geothermal energy industry in Shanxi Province. Led by the natural resources department of Shanxi province, the provincial development and reform commission, the provincial ecological environment department, the provincial housing and construction department, the provincial water department, the provincial energy bureau, the provincial transformation comprehensive reform demonstration zone management committee, the provincial geological survey bureau and other provincial units, jointly carry out the breakthrough of geothermal energy heating in the city of Shanxi province, a thematic research.

Recently, the research group came to Shanxi Shuangliang Kechuang City No. 1 energy island and the provincial experimental middle school shallow geothermal energy triple-supply project for field visits and thematic research. Wise Living Technology Company President Li Baoshan, Party Secretary Zhang Xu, Executive Vice President Du Yanqing and other company leaders accompanied.

On the site of Energy Island, the research group visited the geothermal display wells, the 5G machine room of the ultra-long gravity heat pipe, the comprehensive exhibition hall of Energy Island, the intelligent and efficient heat exchange station and the national intelligent control command center. In the geothermal energy display wellhead, the research group learned about Shanxi Shuangliang's five advanced geothermal energy application technologies and the drilling process of geothermal wells, well formation process, and the application of the 5G big data platform through a short video. The research group was impressed by the company's concept of three-dimensional energy extraction from the sky, underground and ground, multi-energy complementation and the digital management of the intelligent heat supply platform. 

Shanxi Experimental Middle School shallow geothermal energy triple-supply project is a typical project of Shanxi Shuangliang's shallow geothermal energy application which has been running stably for more than ten years. Shanxi Shuangliang's technology and application of geothermal energy fully demonstrated the company's practical effectiveness in geothermal energy application.

Mr. Li Baoshan, president of the company, said in the accompanying research that the company has been receiving attention and support from all walks of life since its establishment. Geothermal energy, as a kind of renewable and clean energy with large reserves, wide distribution, stability and reliability, has great potential for development. Shanxi Shuangliang takes full advantage of Shanxi's geothermal resources and actively carries out the research and development and application of geothermal energy technology, and has successfully developed a number of geothermal energy clean heating projects, which have achieved significant environmental and economic benefits.

As a typical project of Shanxi Shuangliang in the application of geothermal energy, Energy Island is a multi-energy complementary green energy supply system mainly based on geothermal energy and integrating various energy sources. Through the intelligent platform and the reasonable matching of various new energy technologies, the maximization of energy utilization efficiency is achieved. The environmental benefits and operational stability of this project are of great significance for replacing the province's coal-fired boilers for heating, promoting the construction of ecological civilization and achieving the dual-carbon goal.

The research activities closely around the implementation of the Governor Jin Xiangjun “geothermal energy alternative heating in the city-level applications to form a breakthrough as soon as possible, should be selected pilot cities, and strive to see early results. New heating projects can be required from the policy level, priority to the use of geothermal energy“ instructions, adhere to the problem-oriented, goal-oriented, focusing on project approval, resource allocation, policy protection and other key aspects, analysis of urban geothermal energy alternative heating encountered in the ‘difficulties’‘Blocking point’ ‘stuck point’, put forward targeted, operable and innovative initiatives, selection, determination of geothermal energy alternative heating pioneer regions and key projects, for the provincial government to provide a full basis for scientific decision-making, to geothermal energy industry development to inject new momentum.
